Dog walker ‘hit to ground and kicked in head’ by unknown woman in Walmer near Deal

A woman in her 50s who was walking her dogs was reportedly knocked to the ground and kicked in the head by a stranger.

The victim was on a seafront stroll with a friend in Wellington Parade, Walmer, on May 27.

At about 5.15pm it is believed they approached an unknown woman who reportedly shouted at them.

Police say the woman then “hit the victim to the ground” and repeatedly kicked her in the head.

She was left with bruising and injuries.

Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the attack.

A spokesman for the force said: “The suspect was described as holding a scooter and walking a German Shepherd-type dog.

“Officers would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone in that area who may have private CCTV which could assist the investigation.

“Witnesses should call 01843 222289 quoting 46/87107/24.
