Dover Athletic boss Chris Kinnear insists his appetite for success is undiminished as the Whites gear up for a crack at the Blue Square Bet South play-offs.

Kinnear has also challenged his players to seize the moment and help fire the club back into the top-flight of non-league football for the first time in more than a decade.

Having guided Dover into the Conference 20 years ago, Kinnear (pictured) is relishing the chance to repeat the feat and bring the good times back to Crabble.

He said: "I’m no different 20-odd years ago to now. I want to win as much as ever, I’ve never lost that. Fortunately, all the way through, I’ve been able to win things.

"If you’ve done it before, you don’t tend to think about it so much but you still get the same buzz.

"The younger lads have got a great opportunity to play in the play-offs and the older lads don’t know how many more chances they’ll get at promotion. We might not win it but we’ve got to give ourselves a chance."

Dover host Dorchester Town on Saturday knowing a win will make them mathematically secure in the top-five with two games to play.

Dean Rance is still suspended, while Harry Ottoway is struggling after suffering a blow to the knee at Havant & Waterlooville on Tuesday.

Barry Cogan needs an operation on his shoulder and will not play again this season, while the club are still waiting to hear how long Lloyd Harrington will be out for following his red card during Saturday’s abandoned game at Havant.
