Dover are set to end their interest in Polish trialist Jacek Magdzinski but boss Nicky Forster has stated rumours over the striker’s wage demands are "absolute rubbish."

Whites have held talks with Magdzinski’s representatives and while a deal looks unlikely, suggestions the player wants £1,200 a week are way off the mark.

Forster (pictured) said: "That’s absolute rubbish. We wouldn’t entertain – and we couldn’t entertain – bringing anyone in on wages like that.

"We did open discussions but we haven’t really got anywhere so that possibly won’t be happening now."

Forster is still being offered players but is in no rush to add to his squad and has accused agents of lacking respect for Blue Square Bet South football.

He said: "We have a squad of first-team players who we’re happy with so we can afford to be selective.

"I’m still taking lots of calls from agents and I feel a lot of them disrespect the standard of our league.

"I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard ‘So and so’s played Football League so he’ll cruise it at your level’."

Whites welcomed back defender Steve Watt in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Gillingham after missing most of last season with a knee injury.

He’s set to be involved when Whites go to Ebbsfleet on Saturday (3pm).
