A new charity assault course event has been set up to test you and your colleagues.
Martha Trust has teamed up with MY/PT army style fitness to launch a brand new fundraising event at Betteshanger from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, July 14.
They’re inviting teams of six to get down and dirty in the muddy tunnels in a race to the finish line. All money raised will go towards transforming the lives of people with profound disabilities at their homes in Hacklinge, near Deal, and Hastings.
Fundraising and events officer Kerry Rubins said: “This is a new event for us and we’re really excited about it.
“The course will include tunnels, balance beams, water jumps, rope walk and the tyre wall!
“It will be a great event for friends, family or use it as a team builder with colleagues.
“You’ll go head to head against other teams in the qualifying round.
“Your time in this round will determine which of the three divisions you will be competing in.”
Division 1 will be competing for the charity shield, Division 2 for the charity cup and Division 3 for the charity spoon.
“You’ll then complete the course for a second time to compete for the winners places,” she added.
Spectators are also invited along for the day.
People can pack a picnic or purchase food and drink from Lilyroos on-site or Ripple Catering who will be serving a barbecue.
There will also be face painting by MakeUpps by Suzanna plus slushes, candyfloss and homemade sweets from Retro Shop.
Participants must be over 16. Those in the winning teams will receive a medal each plus one months full membership for MY/PT, which is worth £48.
Registration costs £60 per team and sponsorship is optional. To register call 01304 610448 or email fundraising@marthatrust.org.uk
