Two first-half goals saw Dover defeat Farnborough and continue their push for a Blue Square Bet South play-off place on Wednesday night.
Whites went into the game six points outside the play-offs with two games in hand and were facimg opponents who still have relegation fears following their five-point deduction by the Football Conference.
Nicky Forster's side got off to the perfect start with a goal after three minutes when George Purcell's free-kick was met by Ian Simpemba who headed the ball into the corner of the net.
The prolific Billy Bricknell (pictured)had a shot cleared off the line, before he added the visitors' second goal.
Donovan Simmonds crossed the ball to the far post and Bricknell nodded it home after 29 minutes.
Whites came close to a third before the break when Simmonds fired over after good work by Bricknell and George Purcell.
At the other end, Whites keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz only had one real save to make when he tipped a powerful shot over the bar just before half-time.
Farnborough put Whites under more pressure in the second half and the visitors had to play more on the counter-attack.
They pressed for a third goal on the break but couldn't add one, although Purcell had a penalty appeal turned down.
