A cinema and a park and ride service are among the suggestions so far put forward in a town survey aimed at improving Deal.

Deal Town Council is running a survey to find out what people love, hate and feel could be improved within the community.

Residents in Deal has suggested a park and ride service could improve the town

The aim is to provide evidence to produce a medium-term, three to five year, Town Plan.

This will create a series of actions that the council can actively pursue, whether on its own or with partners such as Dover District Council or Kent County Council.

So far, the town council says suggestions have included a park and ride service, more cycle lanes, better youth facilities, more greenery and affordable housing.

The Mayor of Deal, Cllr Chris Turner said, “As we approach Christmas, a time for giving, please give Deal Town Council a few minutes of your time to answer these three questions and suggest a gift for Deal.”

Completed surveys can be sent back to the council using a Freepost address or by popping them into the town hall.

They can also be handed in at the Saturday Market.

Cllr Turner added: "The Town Council is listening, and this is a great opportunity for the people of Deal to contribute to the future of Deal.”
