Men-only spin classes are being held every Friday in March to support Craig Buddle, who celebrates his fifth year in remission from testicular cancer.

Hourglass Fitness Club in Ladywell, Dover, is inviting men to come and take part in raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support who have cared for Mr Buddle during his recovery.

Ladywell Fitness club, run by the McFarnell sisters backs Craig Buddle's 500 mile bike and hike charity event.

The sessions take place on Friday and on March 14, 21 and 28, and coincide with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Each class costs £5.

Mr Buddle, who lives in Dover, is taking part in a 500-mile bike and hike journey.

A team of 10 will climb the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. They will travel between the mountains by bicycle.

A fundraising web page for the challenge says: “June 2014 will signify five years since one of our closest friends successfully completed treatment [for] testicular cancer.

“We as a group of friends have decided to complete an epic challenge and in the process hopefully raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support, who supported him throughout his treatment, and Everyman male cancer campaign to assist in creating awareness of male cancers.
