Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in a flat in Victoria Road, Deal.

Four men, armed with a wooden baton, a baseball bat and a knife, knocked on the door and pushed in when it was opened by the 33-year-old victim around 8pm on Wednesday last week.

DS Matt Jones said: "This is an unusual case and we believe the offenders and the victim were possibly connected in some way.

"We are anxious to speak to anyone who has information which will assist this inquiry."
