A musical first takes place on Deal Memorial Bandstand on Sunday when the Regimental Band of The Brigade of Gurkhas perform for a charity concert.
Bandstand trust publicity officer Bill Butler said a huge audience is expected from a wide area of the county and the programme starts at 2.30pm.
He added: “It is likely to be another memorable occasion in the ongoing story of the Deal Memorial Bandstand with Walmer Green packed, just like the visit in July from the Band of HM Royal Marines from Portsmouth.
“The Gurkha band has delighted crowds with the fast and slick marching displays, lively concert music, ethnic Nepali folk tunes and colourful traditional dances.
“Sunday’s packed programme of music will also include the opportunity to hear the talented voice of Teresa De Roberto, a classical popular crossover singer who performs across a spectrum of operatic arias, popular songs, musical theatre and hymns.
“Having only started singing five years ago 19-year-old Teresa is already heading for the dizzy heights of stardom."
The concert is sponsored by LeValiant Owen of Walmer and concert goers are invited to take chairs and picnics along to Walmer Green.
Programmes will be on sale at £2 along with raffle tickets and bucket collections.
All funds raised will help the Deal Memorial Bandstand Trust with the expenses of future concerts.
