Concerns are intensifying for the welfare of a “loving father” and “caring friend” who has been missing for a week.

Alex Holland, 27, was last seen in the Delane Road area of Deal last Sunday (November 28).

His friends described the disappearance as “very uncharacteristic”, with his children “needing answers” as to his whereabouts.

Mr Holland, who often works in construction, is described as 6ft tall with blue eyes and was believed to be wearing grey jogging bottoms.

The father-of-two has a small tattoo of the name Roxy on his left hand and a missing front tooth.

“I can not explain how much he needs to be found, mostly for his children, he is their dad, they need answers,” Bec Rose, mother of his children, said.

“Every day that passes our children are in more and more pain - they need to know Daddy is safe.

“This is very, very uncharacteristic behaviour for him, that’s the most worrying thing.

“He is a loving father and caring friend and if anyone sees him or knows where he is please get in touch.”

She added Mr Holland is known to frequent Deal, Dover and Sandwich, with his family growing “increasingly anxious day by day”.

Miss Rose has released various social media appeals while police urged those with information to come forward.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Alex Holland was last seen in the Delane Road area of the town at around 9pm on Sunday 28 November 2021 and officers are concerned for his welfare.
