Pumpkin puss and devil dogs in horribly good Halloween fun

This Halloween, our sister paper the East Kent Mercury asked its readers to send in photographs of their pets and pumpkins – and they didn’t disappoint.

From a devil dog to a blood-soaked cat, imaginative entries were sent in from across the district.

There were plenty of posing pooches among the submissions, including German shepherd Shadow, sent in by Robin Bailey, of Chequer Lane, Ash, and Karol Steele’s pet Ted, who donned a range of Halloween outfits.

Phoebe Sheppard, of Mill Road, Deal, managed to get a superbly timed snap of her cat, Luna, standing on two pumpkins, licking her lips.

The most unusual entry came from Wendy Boorman, of Glack Road, Deal, who sent in a snap of her pet tortoise Fred Pie, on top of a pumpkin.
