Deal man charged after robbery at post office in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs

A man has been charged following a robbery at a post office.

Police were called at 6.42am on Saturday, August 3, to a report that two men had entered the premises in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, and threatened staff.

It was alleged that money was taken from the till and the pair then left the area.

Officers turned up shortly afterward and arrested two people.

Yesterday, Harry Marshall, 21, of Hay Hill, Deal was charged with robbery, possession of a knife and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates Court today.

A 19-year-old man was bailed pending further enquiries.
