Men with 'axes' robbed The Royal Hotel in Beach Street, Deal

Two men wielding 'axes' were reported to have entered and robbed a hotel.
At 10.30pm yesterday, men were reported to have entered The Royal Hotel in Beach Street in Deal wearing white overalls and balaclavas.
They had what looked like axes and demanded cash from the tills.
Threats were reportedly made but no one was injured.
Police believe they left the hotel with the cash in a small silver car.
The incident occurred around the closing time of the bar however it is understood the rest of the business remained open with guests booked into the hotel continuing with their stay.
A spokesman for Shepherd Neame, who manage the site, said: "The Royal Hotel, Deal was targeted by armed robbers last night.
"Obviously this was a shocking incident and very distressing for our team at the hotel, but fortunately no one was injured.
"We are providing support and counselling to staff."
