Two men treated for smoke inhalation following a fire at Discovery Park in Sandwich

Two men have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at Discovery Park in Sandwich.

Around 20 firefighters were called to the former Pfizer site on Ramsgate Road just after 9.25am.

The fire had started in a heating plant room on the 5th floor and is thought to have been caused by welding work being carried out.

Four fire engines and a height vehicle from Ramsgate attended and spent two hours at the scene.

The men were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
