A mum who bought her son a chocolate bar to congratulate him on passing his driving test was over the moon to find she had won £5,000 too.

Kate Sutton, 49, bought the jumbo Dairyfine chocolate bar for £4.99 at her local Aldi store in West Street, Deal.

Kate Sutton bought the chocolate bar for her son only to discover it had a golden £5,000 ticket inside

To her delight the 800g bar contained one of 25 Golden Giveaway tickets.

The clothing boutique owner, who runs Feel Good Fashion in Stanhope Road, said: “I popped in to pick up a treat for my son after he passed his driving test and just happened to see these chocolate bars.

"We didn’t think anything of it, but then next thing we know, we are holding a ticket saying you’ve won on it – we couldn’t believe our luck!”
