A mum-of-three is on cloud nine after finding herself chatting with Robbie Williams via Instagram Live - while wearing her dressing gown.

Diana Parnell was sat on her sofa in her pyjamas with not "a scrap of make-up on" when she requested the heartthrob pick her - out of thousands of fans - to have a chat with.

The 42-year-old's phone screen then split into two as the former Take That singer, who was lying on a bed, appeared to say hello.

A 23-minute conversation followed with more than 2,500 social media users also viewing their chat.

Ms Parnell said: "Out of thousands of people he picked me.

"The next thing I knew he was on my screen. It was insane.

Robbie Williams called Diana a "superwoman"

"I'm on cloud nine. I still can't get over it."

Instagram Live is a live broadcast allowing users - particularly celebrities - to interact with their followers.

Ms Parnell's first words to the Angels singer were "Are you actually kidding me" before Robbie responded saying: "No, I'm not actually kidding you, I'm for real!"

The former X-Factor judge apparently has 10 questions he asks each person he chats to via the social media channel.

But as the conversation flowed, they found themselves going off course discussing Ms Parnell's divorce and her plight to find Mr Right.

Robbie Williams and Diana spoke for 23 minutes

She said: "We spoke about everything. I said how I'd been married for 13 years but now I'm divorced.

"He asked me to rate my looks and he said I had glowing skin. He said it was all the endorphins from my running.

"He said I had a lovely personality and that I should be on stage.

"We talked about favourite foods and my inspiration behind running."

Ms Parnell lives in Palmerston Avenue in Deal but grew up in Whitstable, attending the Sir William Nottidge School.

She now works as a teaching assistant at Sandown Primary School and has three children, Rosie, 14, Millie, 12 and two-year-old Ava.

The two eldest children were in the room at the time and also took part in the conversation.

She continued: "I had to turn it into an interview otherwise I would have gone to pieces.

"He was talking about how bad his life was.

"I was like you've turned your life around, you've come a long way.

"I was like his guru for a few seconds. It was brilliant."

Ms Parnell says she has always liked the popstar who found fame in the 1990s with Take That, but wouldn't describe herself as a huge fan.

He said: "I've always liked him but I told him it was all about Mariah Carey when I was growing up. He didn't get a look in. He was laughing.

"There was just lots of funny banter. He was just so genuine."

Ms Parnell gave a mention to Deal Rowing Club as she usually finishes her runs near to the club.

She added: "He made me promise him that I'll have a night out in the next two weeks as I won't find Mr Right sat on my sofa."

The popstar is married to Loose Woman Ayda Field and spends most of his time in Los Angeles.

In 2016, he was spotted in Kent filming for his Love My Life video in Leysdown when he came to the aid of an excited fan after she crashed her car.
