Music4Martha returns to The Square in Deal backed by the King's Head, Port Arms and Dunkerleys Hotel & Restaurant

A one-day music festival will once again get people dancing and singing at The Square on Deal seafront.

The Kings Head, Dunkerleys and The Port Arms in Deal are once again collaborating with local charity Martha Trust for Music4Martha on Sunday August 1.

The spectacular is put on by volunteers whose efforts help people with profound disabilities

Martha Trust’s fundraising and events officer Kerry Banks BEM has arranged a great line up to entertain the crowds.

The event will officially open at noon with Bradley Bogus Holbrook as the first act.

This will be followed by dance performances by DAPA – Dean Academy of Performing Arts, The Martellos, Your Shout, Lofty Harris and finishing with Pussyfoot.

The Kings Head, Dunkerleys, The Port Arms, Walmer Installations and Number One B&B have sponsored the event. and Mark One Sound and Light will be organising the PA and musicians for the day.

There's a chance to get your picture taken too - just look out for Sharon Powell Photography.

There will be an auction, raffle plus a chance to win a Barrow of Booze.

Entertainer Sarah Banks will be the compere for the day while Mrs Banks will be the auctioneer.

Summer Faces Face Painting will be on site all day as will Solleys Ice Cream at the Martha tent.

New for this year is table magic from Josh King who regularly attends Princes Charles and Camilla’s Christmas parties.

Your Shout will be playing on the day

Mrs Banks said “We are incredibly grateful to the all the organisations for their ongoing support of Martha Trust- the monies raised at these events make a huge difference in the lives of our residents with profound disabilities.

"It is a free and inclusive event so come along and enjoy the day with us."

Martha Trust is based at Hacklinge between Deal and Sandwich

The charity is appealing for auction lots and raffle prizes along with bottles and cans of alcohol for their barrow of booze.
