Pharmacy burglars taken to hospital after 'swallowing medicines' in Deal

Police called to reports of a break-in at a pharmacy found two men inside who were then taken to hospital having allegedly swallowed the medicines.

Officers were called to the Clockwork Pharmacy in the High Street, Deal, at 3.30am today after a man was seen entering the premises.

When they arrived, they found two men who were arrested.

Both men were taken to hospital as a precaution as it is believed they had swallowed some of the medicines from the pharmacy.

Press officer Jon Green said: “Police called to deal with reports of a break-in at a pharmacy in High Street, Deal, early on Wednesday, February 22 detained two suspects.

“Inquiries are continuing.”
