The P&O Pride of Calais between Dover and France was run aground in Aliaga in Turkey

This is the dramatic moment a former cross Channel ferry was deliberately run aground after operating between Dover and France for 22 years.
The P&0 Pride of Calais met its end at a ship-breaking yard in Aliaga, Turkey.
The vessel was renamed the Ostend Spirit by Transeuropa Ferries and operated between Ramsgate and Ostend.
But it has now been sent crashing to land to make it easier for workers to take it apart, as this video shows.
