Robbery at Deal jewelers

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a jewellers in Deal on Wednesday.
Three men walked into Simmond's Jewellers, smashed a display cabinet and threatened staff with a shot gun at 4.30pm on Wednesday.
They made away with jewellery in a silver Peugeot estate car that was driven by a fourth man.
Police are treating the theft, which took place in the High Street shop, as robbery.
Officers are are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
Police spokeswoman Jane Walker said: "Nobody was hurt - just threatened - which is sufficient to make it a robbery."
The Peugeot was seen driving at speed along Sandown Road, Sandwich, after the incident.
The car was abandoned and later found on Sandown Road burning.
The three men are said to have been wearing dark hooded tops with their faces covered by balaclavas.
A 28-year-old man from Deal was arrested on suspicion of robbery on November 1 and is currently in police custody.
