Art students in Dover are displaying their work this week in the hope of impressing the public, and encouraging younger pupils to pursue art.

The exhibition is being staged at Dover Grammar School for Girls in Frith Road, Dover, from lunchtime to 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The upper sixth form students will be on hand to talk about their work.

Taking part are Tyler French, Laurence Crow, Alice Amon-Bennett, Lauren Hollowday, Frankie Nicholas and Vivien Minter.

They will be showing some of their drawings and paintings as well as computer art and photographic work.

"It will show the students' artistic skills and we hope it will inspire other pupils to take art further," said Tyler (pictured above).

Admission to the exhibition is free, and the students will be available in the reception area of the school to accompany visitors to the gym where the work is on display.
