The
officers who will take command of P&O Ferries' new ship Spirit
of Britain have been named.
It is the first of two new ships being built for the
Dover-Calais route.
Captain David Miller, Senior Master, has 30 years’ experience of
cross-Channel ferries.
Stephen Stagg, Senior Chief Engineer Officer, first worked on
ferries in 1985 and is currently on the Pride of Calais.
Nigel Davies, Operations Manager, takes responsibility for all
passenger areas on the Spirit of Britain and also sister ship the
Spirit of France.
Spirit of Britain has been floated out of its building dock in
Finland and is now being fitted out prior to entering service in
January. Spirit of France will enter service in September
next year.
