Dover’s town centre has an impressive and colourful new feature.

It’s the the latest achievement by the volunteers behind the Brighter Dover project who have made sure that there are plenty of floral and plant displays throughout the town centre this summer, despite the cut backs in council funding.

The project has been led by Sylvie Parsons, with support from the district and town council, who enlisted the help of a large number of people to plant and maintain the displays.

They also raised the funds to buy the topiary, lavender and box hedge for the Market Square.

A celebration will be held next month to mark the completion of the project.
