Former SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton is to host a huge fitness and live music festival in Kent.
The Royal Marines commando-turned-TV presenter will be at Betteshanger Country Park near Deal next month for what is set to be the venue’s biggest ever event.
The festival – on Saturday, June 17 – will give visitors the chance to challenge themselves in the first ‘Mind over Muscle Festival’.
The 250-acre site will be transformed to accommodate endurance activities including commando training, highland game activities, abseiling and open-water swimming.
On the day, Middleton – who is a former UK Special Forces soldier, Royal Marines Commando, and Royal Engineer in the British Army – will host ‘The Sickener’ from the main stage, as well as obstacle course races.
There will also be wellness lectures, yoga, tai-chi and ice tanks as part of the wellbeing programme.
Middleton said: “We can’t wait to host the Mind over Muscle Festival at Betteshanger Park this year.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to push themselves and unlock their true potential.
“We’re building on the success of our day camps to deliver an event that’s fun and challenging in equal measure.
“Betteshanger Park is the perfect location for the festival, with more than 250 acres to enjoy and space for activities ranging from obstacle courses and team-building to wall climbing and survival skills.
“We want the event to be inclusive for all so no matter what your ability, it’s an opportunity to face your fears and achieve something new.
“Most importantly, it’s the opportunity to have fun!”
Middleton featured in Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins from 2015 to 2021, and in 2018 he climbed Mount Everest.
The festival is open to all and suitable for all ages and abilities.
After the day’s events, visitors will be able to take advantage of a fully-licensed bar, gourmet street food and live music, including DJ Tom Zanetti.
Stuart O’Leary, head of Betteshanger Park, says the team is excited to welcome Middleton and his team to Betteshanger.
“Mind over Muscle Festival will have a packed roster of activities with the ethos to work hard and play hard whilst enjoying the beauty of Betteshanger,”he said.
“It’s a unique offering to push yourself to your limits during the day then party the night away.”
Tickets for the day, which runs from 8am until 11pm, cost £99 and can be bought via the Betteshanger Country Park website.
