Village school wins top marks

Worth Primary

A determination to provide a love of learning for pupils at Worth Primary has helped the school to be classed among the top in Kent.

That’s the view from head teacher Lynne Moore, who joined in marking the latest league tables announcement with the children and staff in the run-up to the end of term.

She said: "Results in league tables are a small part of the picture though.

"At Worth we believe in lifelong learning and engaging children’s natural curiosity. Pupil wellbeing is our primary concern and our children leave us confident, well rounded citizens with a love of learning that extends beyond the school gates and into their lives."

Tables were compiled on performances in English and maths tests taken by 11-year-olds, with the 11 pupils at Worth Primary gaining 100 per cent in both subjects, making it 11th in the Kent table.
