A wedding venue has applied for a premises licence to put on plays, live music and performance dance.

Solton Manor also wants to sell alcohol at the East Langdon venue between Dover and Deal.

The spot previously had a temporary event notice, allowing those things for 21 days but has now submitted an application to licensing authority Dover District Council asking for permanent permission.

It wants permission for plays to be performed and film exhibited any time between 9am to 9pm Monday to Sunday, play live music any time between noon and 11pm Sunday to Wednesday and until midnight Thursday to Saturday.

It is asking for the green light to put on performance dance shows between 9am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.

If granted permission, alcohol sales will be allowed between noon and 11pm Sunday to Wednesday and until 11pm Thursday to Saturday.

Solton Manor is a Grade II listed luxury manor house alongside a luxury barn.

Its website says: "Whilst the manor house itself can accommodate up to 100 for an intimate, boutique style wedding, the barns offer the opportunity for up to 150 dining in ultra-modern, yet characterful surroundings."

A public consultation is underway and ends tomorrow, Wednesday, August 18.

If the application is not objected to it will be granted. If it receives complaints, a hearing will be held at a date to be confirmed.
