Ambitious plans to reopen the iconic Regent on Deal seafront have been completed, three years after the building was bought by two businessmen from Kingsdown.

Preparations to close down Walmer Science College in two weeks for the merger with Castle Community College have been jollied up with plans for a celebration of the school’s 55 year history.

A holiday trip that turned into a nightmare for a Walmer man has ended with a five figure payout after his tour operator admitted liability for food poisoning.

A 21-year-old man from Deal has been arrested after a seagull was allegedly kicked repeatedly. The gull had to be put down.
