Winston Showan, who has lived in Deal and St Margaret’s has been made a detective in the Big Brother house this week as part of a shopping task.

The 27-year-old, who attended Sandwich Technology School was the leader of a Cluedo like game played by all the contestants in the house.

Winston had to determine who the fake murderer was through digging deep into clues and solving mysteries.

The task, if won, usually allows contestants to get some form of treat in their weekly shopping list they are required to plan.

Channel five explained the aim of the game: “Winston has many great qualities; story-telling, impressions and cooking up a proper spag bol. But how are his crime-solving skills?

“Even before a single murder had taken place, Detective Winston had his suspicions.

“Big Brother chose Winston to play the detective in the House’s very own murder mystery.

“With three secret assassins stalking the house mates, could 'Sherlock Holmes' crack the case?”

Winston has been given odds to win of 5-1 with bookmakers Coral.

Big Brother, which continues until August, is on Channel 5 at 9pm today.

The Channel five website added: “Today will see more murders before Detective Winston interrogates the remaining suspects and decides which housemates should be sent to prison. Will he manage to arrest the real assassins, or will he collar the wrong culprits?”
