Witnesses sought to knife incident in Dover

A teenager has been threatened with a knife in Dover town centre, and police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.

It happened on Saturday June 8 just before 4.55pm when a 17-year-old boy had a penknife shown to him in Pencester Road.

The boy said he was threatened with the weapon by a group of young people near a bus stop before managing to run away and alert police.

The group consisted of four young people, all described as white and in their early to mid-teens.

One boy was described as approximately 16 years old, wearing a red and black bobble hat, grey jumper, and tracksuit bottoms.

A second boy is described as about 14, shorter than the first male, with short ginger hair, wearing a brown jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Two girls were also in the group, one described as about 15 and of large build while the second is described as approximately 14, medium build, wearing black flip flops.

Anyone who may have seen the penknife or have information about the group from the time of the incident is asked to contact Kent Police on 101, quoting crime reference number ZY/15886/13.
