Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler heaped praise on the club's supporters who made the long trek to Fleetwood on Tuesday night.
Whites were cheered on to victory in the FA Trophy second round by more than 20 supporters and Hessenthaler admitted that they owed their fans a performance on the road.
On the back of a 6-2 Boxing Day thrashing at Lewes and earlier defeats at Weston and Worcester, Hessenthaler was delighted to send the fans away happy on a long trek home.
"There must have been 20 to 25 fans who travelled all the way up there," said Hessenthaler.
"They played a massive part in the win and we really appreciate them and what they did.
"After Weston and Worcester, we owed them a performance and I'm glad that we managed to put on a good showing for them."
