DEAL Rowing Club virtually wrapped up another Coast Amateur Rowing Association club championship with a superb performance in their home regatta on Saturday (Kevin Redsull writes).

Deal won six of the 11 championship races to hoist their points total for the season to 32, nine ahead of second-placed Bexhill who gained three wins on Saturday.

With only two CARA regattas to go, at Eastbourne on Saturday and Dover on August 9, it means that Deal are poised to mark their 75th anniversary by winning the CARA club championship for the 26th time in their proud history.
