Police are appealing for witnesses after a brick was thrown at a bus.

The single-decker bus was travelling along Cooting Road at Aylesham between 2.35 and 2.43pm on Saturday, May 8.

As it approached the road works the windscreen was hit with a brick, which bounced off. No-one was injured.

The windscreen did not shatter but a number of cracks appeared on the glass rendering the bus un-drivable. The driver called for another vehicle so the 10 passengers could continue their journey.

Police would like to speak the passengers who were on board at the time of the incident, and also a youth who was waiting at the bus stop on the other side of the road.

Anyone with information is asked to call 01622 690690 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
