Armed police raided a house and arrested four people after a firearm was reportedly spotted at a railway station.
British Transport Police were called to Deal train station yesterday after concerns a young man was in possession of a weapon.
The young men, aged 15-18, were located in Sandwich and arrested in Honfleur Road.
A resident in nearby Jubilee Road said a “huge bang” was heard next to her house – although a police spokesman confirmed no shots were fired.
Police dog Wilson was deployed to assist officers and later found the replica firearm hidden in an alleyway in Sandwich.
BTP attended Deal station first before locating four suspects in the neighbouring town.
A spokesman for BTP said: “British Transport Police were called to Deal station around 3.45pm on April 19 following reports of a young man in possession of a firearm.
“Officers quickly located four young men, aged between 15 and 18, in the nearby Sandwich area.
“All four were arrested after an imitation firearm was located. Three were released on bail pending further investigation and one was released with no further action.”
