RICHIE Holdsworth (21) is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on August 23 charged with assaulting Simon Holyoake in Gilford Road, Deal, on June 14.

Mr Holyoake, who lives in Deal, is an actor, teacher, historian and author.

Holdsworth of no fixed address appeared before magistrates in Canterbury on Monday charged with grievous bodily harm and was remanded in custody to appear again at the crown court.
