The latest exhibition to go on show at Linden Hall Studio in Deal is one of its most prestigious yet.

Images of Time Passing is a show of work by respected Scottish painter and master printmaker Barbara Rae.

The work of the Royal Academician is usually booked well in advance of its creation or snapped up to exhibit at national art museums both in the UK and abroad.

But by chance, the small gallery in St George’s Road, Deal, caught her attention, and duly impressed, she consented to an exhibition of selected prints.

Her subject matter tends to be that shaped by the hand of humankind or by the weather.

This show includes a few major paintings as well as etchings and monoprints for sale.

It can be seen now until Saturday, November 30.

Gallery director Myles Corley said: “It is a really great honour that Barbara Rae is travelling with her team from Edinburgh to have a major solo exhibition with us.

“Not only is this a highlight of our exhibition programme, but it is great for raising even higher the artistic profile of Deal and the surrounding areas.”
