Dover had to settle for a point after a goalless draw at Bath City in Blue Square South on Saturday.
The Whites had the better of the chances and came closest to winning the match, but defences dominated.
Shaun Welford could have got the hosts off to the perfect start but he skewed a header wide in the opening minute, while Adam Birchall was also denied by keeper Ryan Robinson early on.
Frannie Collin was next to go close when he curled wide with Robinson beaten eight minutes before the break.
The second half continued in the same vain as Welford was twice denied by the Bath stopper on the hour mark after Collin had released him and Jon Wallis and Michael Abnett also had shots blocked.
The draw saw Dover drop to third in the table, one point behind Thurrock who won at Woking.
