Dover Athletic’s 2-1 win at Billericay on Saturday meant they have gone a full year without being beaten away from home in Blue Square Bet South.
Two goals from striker Billy Bricknell (pictured)gave Whites their third successive win and kept them in third place.
Dover dominated the first half and took a deserved half-time lead when Bricknell fired home after 13 minutes after Ricky Modeste’s shot had been blocked by Wood keeper Nathan McDonald.
But Whites, who lost centre-half Shane Huke through an ankle injury, were put under heavy pressure in the second half.
However, they defended doggedly and then broke away for Bricknell to score his second nine after 81 minutes.
