The Braderie will return to Deal today (Sunday).
Collectables and bric-a-brac will be for sale in Deal High Street from St George’s Church to past the junction of Water Street, near Alfred Square from 8.30pm until 4pm.
There will be craft, antiques, jewellery and book stalls as well as plants for sale. Pitches for the street fair organised by Deal Town Council market officer Heather McAdam have sold out.
Town clerk Lorna Crow said: “Come along and hunt out the bargains and treasures.”
St George’s Church will be giving away 800 free pastries, doughnuts and hot drinks to passers-by. Cakes and drinks will be served between 11.30am and 1pm in the gardens at the front of the church. There will also be free balloons and face-painting for children.
The Rev Shiela Porter said: “We’ve taken part in the Braderie in this way ever since it began. People enjoy a break from browsing the stalls.”
The church will be starting the day with a short outdoor all-age service at 10.30am.
