Dover Athletic bounced back from last Saturday's defeat with a 2-1 win away to Conference South rivals Braintree Town.

The Whites ended the home side's unbeaten start to the season through goals from Ben Hunt and Adam Birchall.

Hunt scored just two minutes before the break, tucking the ball home from close range after Birchall's initial shot was saved by The Iron's keeper Nathan McDonald.

Birchall made the scoresheet himself in the second half, heading home just seconds after Braintree had equalised through Sean Marks. Birchall connected with Sam Long's cross from the left to restore Dover's lead eight minutes from time.
