Candidates named for three elections

United Kingdom Independence Party candidate Vic Matcham is throwing his hat back into the political arena as a candidate in all three by-elections which have been called following the death of Cllr Roger Frayne.

Mr Matcham is standing for the town, district and county council seats.
The elections are due to take place on December 16.

In the Dover Town seat for the county council, the other candidates are Gordon Cowan (Labour), Pat Sherratt (Conservative) and John Trickey (Liberal Democrat).

Geoff Lymer (Conservative) and Peter Walker (Labour) will be fighting Mr Matcham for the Lydden and Temple Ewell seat on the district council while Georgette Rapley (Dover Alliance) and Mick Smith (Labour) are his opponents for the town council’s Castle Ward seat.
