Family and friends of ˜beautiful angel" Daniel Dunster are paying tribute to his life on Saturday at a charity run in his memory to raise money for Demelza House.
The 30-year-old was found dead on April 2 at the public toilets in Stembrook car park, near Pencester Gardens, Dover.
His parents Martin and Bernadette Dunster, who live in Spain and Deal, are hoping for a big turn-out for the 7km event, which starts at 1pm in the parking area opposite Walmer Castle.
Mr Dunster said: "I have raised £1,000 for Demelza House already, just by asking people to sponsor me.
"So please let's help the kids at the hospice have the best time in the little time they have left.
"Daniel loved children and Demelza is a local charity, so we also chose the hospice if anyone wanted to donate cash in his memory at his funeral."
Mrs Dunster said people can walk or run the 7km, even push a buggy, and fancy dress is optional too with Wonder Woman and Borat characters expecting to take part.
She added: "Word is getting around about the event and people can go on Facebook to find out more.
"Those taking part in the charity run can just turn up before the start to take part and there will be collection boxes out for donations for Demelza. Please be generous."
The route will follow the seafront to the ruins of Sandown Castle in north Deal, returning along to the prom for barbecue food on the green near Deal Castle.
Daniel Dunster was a pupil at Sholden Primary and later Walmer Secondary School, now Walmer Science College.
When he died the Mercury featured his story on page one, when he was described as a beautiful angel by one of his friends, among many tributes on Facebook.
* Sponsor forms for the charity run in memory of Daniel Dunster are available from the East Kent Mercury, 13 Queen Street, Deal.
