Child arrested at Deal Railway Station after person spotted with knife

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a disturbance in Deal.

Police were called to Victoria Park at about 5.20pm, on Tuesday, following reports of a person in possession of a knife.

Officers who went to the scene subsequently arrested a 12-year-old boy at the railway station in Deal for affray.

Police press officer, Martin Very, said: “He was bailed to return to the police station on August 30 pending further inquiries.”
