Cars of all ages, colours and makes have today rolled onto Walmer Green for the 2015 Classic Car Show.
Organiser Chris West predicted this year’s event will be the largest to date, with over 600 classic vehicles and bikes, dating back to the early 1900s.
Among them is a 1903 Peugeot, Model Ford T, and a rare Gilburn prototype to keep your eyes out for.
The event provides a great photo opportunity for car lovers admiring Britain and overseas vehicles encompassing all eras.
There are American classics and family favourites like MGs, VWs, Fords and Triumphs.
Mr West said: “For the boy racers we have Jaguars, Ferrari, Porsches and Aston Martins. The star of the show will be the Aston Martin Vantage V8, which was driven by James Bond (Timothy Dalton) in the film ‘Living Daylights’, along with the Back to the Future De-Lorean.”
Keep an eye on the skies for two iconic fighters, the Spitfire and Hurricane, hoped to arrive at 3.30pm.
Mr West said: “Our local dealerships will be showing off their latest models from Adamsons, Malcolm Waite, Northgate and Hollis Motors.
“For the bike enthusiast, Autobase will have the latest range of cycles.”
Live music will be performed from two stages.
Singer-songwriter Ben Mills of the X-Factor, The Electric Beatles and six other artists and bands will be performing.
Real Ales will be served at the bar and pick up a bargain at the retro market. Pip the Clown will entertain kids and there will be children’s rides.
Mr West said: “The Deal Classic Motor Show is in its fourth year and is becoming one of the premier classic car shows in Southern England. Exhibitors are travelling from all over the UK to exhibit at the show.
“We are very pleased to be again supporting the RNLI Walmer Lifeboat and I would like to thank sponsors KCC, Deal Town Council and Walmer Parish Council.”
