Guess who’s in town.
This is Norman Wisdom tribute actor Glenn Ford appearing at the namesake pub of his hero today (Monday).
The lookalike had been walking 135 miles over six days for charity, ending up in the best possible place, the Sir Norman Wisdom in Queen Street ,Deal.
Mr Ford, who had walked from his home in Gosport, Hampshire, told the Mercury: “I’ve come all the way here and as you can appreciate.... my poor legs.
“I need a new pair of shoes as well.
“I walked roughly about 20 or more miles a day.”
The walk was for the SIr Norman Wisdom Memorial Foundation, and funds for this will provide a minibus for children in Gosport.
Mr Ford has been impersonating the legendary comic’s Gump character since 1980.
Last September he appeared at the Astor Community Theatre in Deal to perform a tribute show for Sir Norman called Don't Laugh at Me.
Sir Norman, famous for his slapstick films in the 1950s and 1960s, once lived in a children’s home in Deal.
A trademark of his was the ability to suddenly burst into a long and infectious laugh.
He died in 2010, aged 95.
