DEAL Rowing Club’s newly forged partnership with the charity Access Sport is to be heralded by a Festival Day at the club on Saturday, May 14 with double Olympic gold medallist, James Cracknell, in attendance.
The day, which kicks off at 10:00am at their Marina clubhouse, will be full of fun and fitness – which are two of the major objectives behind Access Sport.
Cracknell will be at the club during the morning, talking about his Olympic experiences, joining in with rowing exercises and launching Deal’s new rowing boats.
A host of further attractions on offer during the day include a rowing machine competition, a goodie bag give-away, a guided clubhouse tour, the opportunity to row in a coastal boat and a silent auction which includes a Cracknell-signed kit.
For a chance to win the shirt, all you have to do is name the other members of the coxless four who won gold at last year’s Athens Olympics. Bring your answers on a postcard, along with your name and address, and hand it in on the day. The first correct entry drawn at the festival day will be the winner.
