The production team behind ITV's Liar have denied that they returned to film in Deal last week.
A television crew was spotted by the shore of Deal beach last Tuesday raising suspicion that they had re-commenced filming for the second series of the popular psychological thriller.
However a representative has confirmed they were in fact filming in South London on the same day.
It has not been established who the film makers were.
Lair crews were spotted filming on location in Beach Street, north of the Royal Hotel, in December and are believed to be returning this month and again in June.
The first series of Liar, transmitted in six episodes in September and October 2017, became ITV's highest rated drama of 2017.
Producers, on the day after the last instalment on October 16, confirmed they would return to Deal to film a new series.
The latest whodunnit will focus on who murdered rapist Andrew Earlham, played by Ioan Gruffudd. It will also star Joanne Froggatt, who played rape victim Laura Nielson.
