Firefighters extinguished a fire under the floorboards in a property.

Two appliances from Deal attended the incident in Blenheim Road at 2.48pm on Thursday.

A spokesman said: "Crews discovered a fire under floor boards, believed to have started accidentally as a result of a deteriorated brick chimney and heat from a log burner.

"Firefighters left the scene at 4.23pm."
