A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Deal, which forced the closure of a street.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Mongeham Road just after 4.35pm to reports of a collision.

The injured cyclist was assessed and taken to hospital for further treatment.

Their injuries are not thought to life threatening.

Officers closed a section of the road while they dealt with the incident.

It was fully reopened by 5.30pm.
