Dancer Louis Relf from Deal was on top of the world when he met Danny and Dani Dyer and Sharon Osbourne when performing in London.
It was even more of a thrill because his height was almost an obstacle to getting the part.
The Sir Roger Manwood's pupil, 11, had been knocked back when trying to get an audition at a Kent Christmas Nativity because he was too tall.
Then when when he cast his dancing aspirations further afield, it looked like he was about to get a second rejection from the Hammersmith Apollo.
But luck - and a whole lot of talent - was on his side.
Mum Danni said: "Louis has always wanted to be in the musical Nativity! and when it came to the Marlowe at Canterbury he was very excited that he could audition."
But Louis, measuring in at 4ft 10" at the time, was three inches too tall, so he missed out.
She added: "The week after the Marlowe auditions Louis had an email inviting him to audition for the London Nativity! held at the Apollo with Sharon Osbourne the Dyers and Rylan Clark-Neal.
"Louis was still too tall but they said they still wanted him to audition.
"There were over 400 there and they only wanted 15.
"Louis was lucky enough to get one of these places."
He played the part of an Oakmoor, a well-to-do school pupil, and performed in 14 shows between December 11 and 29.
Louis started dancing at the age of two at his mum's dance school Dance with Danni and the Wollaston Ballet School.
His dream is to have a career in the West End when he is older.
Mrs Relf added: "He had the most amazing time performing over Christmas and he said the stars were lovely with Sharon Osbourne even buying all the children Christmas presents as they were performing on Christmas Eve.
"He is now desperate to get into something else as he just wants to perform."
