Darren Waring, left, has clocked up more than 400 appearances for Deal
Darren Waring's many years of loyal service to Deal Town were recognised at the club’s presentation evening on Saturday.
Waring, who passed the 400-appearance mark for the club this season, received the Manager’s Player-of-the-Year Award.
Deal boss Derek Hares said: "Darren is the sort
of player any manager wants in his squad. He doesn’t mind where he plays, never misses training and his attitude is always spot on."
Another locally-developed player, midfielder Jack Collins, won the Players’ Player of the Year Award, while defender Adam Govey collected the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year trophy.
Jordan Miller, the son of reserve team manager Gary Miller, won the Young Player of the Year trophy, while Luke Bigginton, the son of first team assistant manager Andy Bigginton, received the Most Improved Player nomination.
